Announcement - New Website
I have something very very exciting to announce. I’ve been working really hard, and finally finally have a portfolio section! It’s taken me how many years to get one up? Also.. in doing so, I launched a brand new site.
I also launched a new blog over on that domain, so most new posting will be done on the new blog. Go check it out and check out the site. A few features I wanted in the new blog.. I wanted a nice clean look consistent with the new website and I wanted to be able to post bigger pictures!
This blog will stay live for awhile probably, but not sure for how long, so make sure you bookmark the new site! I hope you like it.
4th of July
On Saturday, Josh and I decided to do something a little crazy. We left our house around 1pm and walked over to Gasworks Park to hang out ALL afternoon, staking out a good spot to watch the fireworks from. It was hot, yes. What saved us was the small black umbrella we decided to bring along. I held up that umbrella and shaded at least the top half of our bodies all afternoon until the sun was more bearable.
But it was fun. Fun to watch everyone around us.. staking out their spots and grabbing what bits of grass were left.. watching people fly kites..etc.
And then the fireworks really did make it all worth it. A spectacular show, timed to music, with the downtown skyline in the background. It was beautiful.
Update
Hello, it’s July! I haven’t posted too much because I’ve been busy working on a new site and blog. And of course, I keep changing my mind about the design. However, it’s not fair to stop from posting photos here. So here we go…
I started this challenge.. you may have heard of it. It’s called 365 days and you take a self-portrait of yourself every day for 365 days. I’m currently on day 20 and haven’t missed one day! Hopefully I can keep it up.
Here’s a few of my favorites from the last 20 days.
Fremont Solstice Parade
In the Fremont neighborhood in Seattle, every year there is a Solstice Parade to celebrate the summer solstice. The parade starts out with people on bicycles, with a few skateboarders and in-line skaters thrown in. Many of these people have painted their bodies. Then.. come a few floats, some dancing, and interesting people walking. Josh and I missed the parade last year, so we knew we HAD to go this year. Just check out the pictures to see why.
